\n<\/span>Dip our toes into the water, <\/span>
\n<\/span>Cut a hole in the ice and <\/span>
\n<\/span>Slide my body in. <\/span>

\n<\/span>Throw some rocks off the bridge,<\/span>
\n<\/span>They’re bound to land somewhere. <\/span>
\n<\/span>So why not here? Why not here. <\/span>
\n<\/span>I’ve got no gloves and no pockets. <\/span>

\n<\/span>My hands are cold, so let’s go back inside. <\/span>
\n<\/span>The fire is warm and cozy, <\/span>
\n<\/span>But not quite hot enough to burn a human alive. <\/span>

\n<\/span>Existing is a tedious process<\/span>
\n<\/span>Like waiting for a flower to bloom in early spring. <\/span>
\n<\/span>Watching every petal, every droplet of water. <\/span>
\n<\/span>Listening to her core sing. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>I’ve got no shoes, but this old news paper’ll do. <\/span>
\n<\/span>Nothing for my head but two slices of bread. <\/span>
\n<\/span>No coat, no scarf, no pants, nothing. <\/span>
\n<\/span>I’ve got nothing but freezer burn. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>And as the sunlight breaks the clouds, <\/span>
\n<\/span>The snow all melts away. <\/span>
\n<\/span>All the children deem it warm enough to come out and play.<\/span>
\n<\/span>There’s no sand in the sandbox<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>No backyard to explore, <\/span>
\n<\/span>The trees are gone, <\/span>
\n<\/span>The lights are out; <\/span>
